High-end Susitna Flats apartments now leasing

Newly constructed apartment building above Bootlegger’s Cove has great views and high prices.

At the West end of the Delaney Park Strip at 1509 W 9th Avenue, the recently completed Susitna Flats apartments afford amazing city and ocean views, if you can afford them.

The aesthetically pleasing modern building was constructed on the site of a recently demolished single-family home owned by the Cuddy family. The original home was built in 1950 at 1539 W 9th Avenue. Records indicate it was a 5,077 SF home with six bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The new building was built by an LLC formed by the original homeowners.

The three-story building has 18 units ranging from 774 – 1,269 SF and rents starting at $2,300/mo. Amenities include a shared rooftop deck with views of downtown and Knik Arm and an underground garage.

The building’s location on the Northside of the Park Strip makes it technically downtown despite being several blocks to the core of the CBD – it does provide convenient access to the coastal trail, and of course, Delaney Park.
